Many police forces will not attend alarms from bells only systems unless there is also first hand evidence of a crime, whether from an owner or a member of the public phoning in. The police will attend to an alarm signal, routed via our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) from a monitored alarm that qualifies for Police Response. This is a 24 hours service, 7 days a week!

The different ways Minder Alarms send signals to our Alarm Receiving Centre using a Digital Communicator which is a single path communication link between your property and the ARC, which can utilise any network provider using either an existing standard analogue telephone line or an exclusive dedicated out-going line for increased security. This is the most commonly used method for domestic systems.

The next level up is DualCom offers a more secure form of alarm monitoring than the above Digital Communicator, by also using VodaPhone data network. This enables your alarm system to be linked to our Alarm Receiving Centre via two completely separate landline and radio paths. If one path fails or is interrupted, our Alarm Receiving Centre is informed, and the other continues to monitor any subsequent alarms. DualCom conforms to new police policies on confirmed alarms.

RedCARE GSM offers even a more secure form of alarm monitoring than both the above Digital Communicator or DualCom, as the service provides continuous monitoring of the BT telephone line that links the alarm system on your premises to our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and by also using O2’s GSM network. As with DualCom your premises would be linked to our Alarm Receiving Centre via two completely separate landline and radio paths. If one path fails or is interrupted, our alarm receiving centre is informed, and the other continues to monitor any subsequent alarms.
